Welcome to FunFlixDroid! #
FunFlixDroid is an Android app designed to synchronize your videos with Bluetooth-enabled devices (toys) using the popular Funscript standard. Whether you’re new to this ecosystem or looking for a quick setup, this guide will help you get started smoothly.
1. How the Ecosystem Works #
FunFlixDroid plays videos alongside special scripts called Funscripts. These scripts control compatible devices, syncing their movements and vibrations perfectly with your media.
FunFlixDroid has a built-in Intiface engine, so it can talk to your Bluetooth toys on its own — no extra app to install. If you prefer, you can still use the standalone Intiface Central app for more advanced device settings.
💡 The Handy is a special case: it connects directly to FunFlixDroid with a connection key, without Intiface at all. See Understanding the Device Ecosystem.
2. Installing FunFlixDroid #
- Download FunFlixDroid from the Download page.
- Install it on your Android device (requires Android 8.0 or higher).
- Launch the app once installed.
3. Connecting Your Devices #
- Enable Bluetooth on your Android device.
- Open the Devices tab in FunFlixDroid — it connects to its built-in Intiface engine automatically, no extra app required.
- (Optional) If you prefer the standalone Intiface Central app, install it, tap its big purple Play button, then switch FunFlixDroid’s server mode to Intiface Central app and tap Connect.
- Once connected, device scanning usually starts automatically. If not, tap Start Scanning.
- When your device is detected and connected, it will appear in the list, ready for use.
- The Test button appears when a device is connected — tap it to make sure your toy is working properly!
- 🖐️ Using The Handy? Skip Intiface — open the Handy screen instead and pair it with your connection key.
4. Adding Videos and Scripts #
- Download Videos and Scripts
- From the Home screen, tap the Gallery button.
- Add video sources like local files, SMB shares, or web servers.
- FunFlixDroid will automatically detect and associate Funscripts matching your videos’ filenames.
- Organize your media into folders as needed.
5. Playing Your First Video #
- Browse your gallery and select a video to play.
- The video will be added to your playlist and start playing with synchronized device control.
- Use on-screen controls or gestures to adjust volume, intensity, or pause the script.
6. Basic Troubleshooting Tips #
- Make sure Bluetooth is on — the built-in engine handles the rest. (If you use the external Intiface Central app, make sure it’s running and its server is started.)
- Verify your videos and scripts share the same filename (except extensions) for automatic syncing.
- Use the Devices tab in FunFlixDroid to test device connectivity and troubleshoot.
